About Us
The Lions Club of Peterborough was chartered in 1970. It’s members; all wishing to help the less fortunate people within the Peterborough Area. Their aims were simple:-
- Community Service,
- Fund-raising to help the less fortunate within the community and further afield,
- and have fun and fellowship whilst doing it.
The Peterborough Lions Club has continued to go from strength to strength and after 50 years the same aims are still holding true.
The club is in Zone B (which also includes clubs in March, Huntingdon & Graffham Water, Whittlesey and Wisbech) of Region 1 (where we’re one of eleven clubs) of District MD105EA (MD105 is Great Britain and, until July 4th 2017, included Ireland, now District 133), EA is East Anglia) – you’re never far from a Lions Club!
We are always looking for new members and will offer a warm welcome to all visitors. If you would like to visit we meet at 8pm on the SECOND Tuesday of each month.
As of February 2019, Peterborough Lions Club is registered with the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation CIO-1182110 (previously Registered Charity 283355).
